TIPS FOR GETTING TO KNOW THE EXHIBITORS

2022 OR Manager Conference Attendee emphasizes the importance of exhibitor connections for current and future needs:

Make a plan for going through the exhibit hall and make a point and stop and visit with vendors that may have something to offer you even if you are thinking of your budget 2-3 years down the road. It was a nice opportunity to actually see some of the products that I know I am going to need to purchase.

  • Watch a demonstration! The exhibitors have brought their products to show you how they work. Spend a few minutes listening to a product demonstration to learn a bit more about the products your teams are working with every day.
  • Share your facility’s sticking points. Challenges you are facing can be alleviated by talking with the exhibitors. Having a better understanding of the issues that need to be addressed will help the exhibitors uncover the features of their products and services that will uniquely benefit you.
  • Ask a question! You’re more likely to learn about the specific aspects of a product if you ask a simple question. For example: “Does this product integrate with systems/equipment I am currently using at my facility?” “Can you share how this product affected the outcomes of a facility similar to the size and scope of my own?” Simple questions like these can open the door to a more meaningful conversation.
  • Conquer the floor with a colleague and approach the exhibitors with confidence. It may feel overwhelming when first entering the exhibit hall amidst the fellow attendees and volume of vendors. However, this is your time – Make sure you take advantage of it to learn the information you need to make an effective purchasing decision and pitch to your leadership team. You are the expert on your facility, so share information with vendors and they’ll help find your perfect product match.
  • Keep an open mind and consider your future needs. While not all vendors will be offering something you need right now, you will eventually have needs in the future. Finding the right-fit vendor is more than just what products and services they offer. Take advantage of this time to get to know the team, culture, and whether they will be a strong partner for you when the time comes. You’ll have this information in your back pocket when you do have a need!

EXHIBITOR PRESENTED CE SESSIONS
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 | 10:45 AM-3:30 PM

Continue your education in the exhibit hall! Exhibitors will be hosting CE sessions in-booth and at 2 CE theaters on the exhibit hall floor. This is a great opportunity to earn additional CE contact hours and dive deeper into the clinical and operational aspects of the surgical suite.

These sessions will take place in 30-minute increments, so you can visit with exhibitors in between your sessions, ask questions of the speakers after the session, and connect with fellow attendees on the topic of discussion!

POSTER PRESENTATIONS
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 | 12:00-1:00 PM

The OR Manager Conference Poster Gallery provides a forum for presenting completed research or in-progress research with preliminary results. It is an opportunity to present research, performance improvement projects, or clinical practice innovations visually using graphs, illustrations, or photographs. We strive to promote communication and collaborative research among nurses, provide a setting for exchange of information and lessons learned, and explore advances in perioperative clinical practice. The poster gallery will be available for viewing throughout all exhibit hall hours. Attend during these times to meet the authors and earn your CEs.

Do you have research to share that will benefit the perioperative industry? Submit a poster proposal! Presenters can save up to 30% on conference registration.

LUNCH ON THE SHOW FLOOR

OR MANAGER’S NIGHT OUT
“HONKY TONK HOEDOWN” AT LUKE’S 32 BRIDGE FOOD + DRINK
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 | 6:00-9:00 PM

Meet us on Broadway for OR Manager’s Night Out, one of the most exciting aspects of the conference! This evening event is an opportunity to spend extra time with your colleagues in a relaxed environment away from the hotel. We’ll have plenty of good times, good tunes, and good eats to go around!

This year, we are heading to country music star Luke Bryan’s venue, Luke’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink, located at the center of the action on Broadway and just steps away from Music City Center.

Our ‘Honky Tonk Hoedown’ wouldn’t be complete without a little live music! Enjoy dinner, drinks and dancing throughout the evening. Take a break on the rooftop, where you can see the bright lights, do a bit of people watching, and hear the bustle of the city below.

This highly-attended event is open to all attendees (and their guests) who are looking to enjoy a relaxing night on their “education vacation.”

Tickets can be purchased during registration. The Best Value Pass includes 1 OR Manager’s Night Out ticket with your registration.
Guest tickets are available for purchase. All guests must be 21+.
